How to deal with high OTR value of gas permeability meter:

1. Determine whether the leakage is caused by uneven application of sealing grease. (This fault is more common)

2. Determine whether the expected OTR value is accurate.

3. Determine that there is no leakage in the nitrogen gas line from the nitrogen tank to the instrument and from the oxygen filter to the input port.

4. Determine that the nitrogen is high-purity nitrogen (99.99%).

5. Determine that the lubricant is sufficient to seal the film tightly.

6. Determine that the lid of each test chamber is tightened.

7. Determine that the film has no wrinkles, gaps, pinholes, etc.

8. Determine that the temperature is the required temperature. Generally, the higher the temperature, the higher the oxygen permeability.

9. Make a calibration with a certified standard.
