Workers' Daily, Beijing, July 24 (Reporter Jiang Han) Recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water Resources, the General Administration of Customs, and the State Food and Drug Administration jointly released the results of the 2023 supervision and random inspection of national-level qualification certification inspection and testing institutions. The supervision and random inspection found that 30 institutions had illegal and irregular behaviors, accounting for 30% of all inspected institutions.

This supervision and random inspection is a "look back" on the special rectification of the inspection and testing market last year. It aims to further standardize the inspection and testing market order, crack down on illegal inspection and testing behaviors, ensure the fairness and scientificity of the inspection and testing results, and provide solid guarantees for maintaining the market economic order. The supervision and random inspection covers key areas such as natural resources, ecological environment, motor vehicles, medical device protective products, food, and refined oil. A total of 100 national-level qualification certification inspection and testing institutions were randomly inspected, including 23 national quality inspection centers.

According to the "Regulations on Supervision and Management of Inspection and Testing Institutions" and the "Regulations on Qualification Accreditation of Inspection and Testing Institutions", the State Administration for Market Regulation will order one institution that issued inspection and testing data and results beyond the scope of inspection and testing capabilities specified in the qualification certification to make corrections within a time limit, and transfer it to the local market supervision department for administrative punishment; 29 institutions with other problems will be ordered to make corrections within one month.
